Tim Barton
Managing Partner
Tim Barton founded Barton Executive Search in 1989.
Under Tim's direction, Barton Executive Search has become a recognized
leader in the executive search industry. Premier consumer facing
companies including Johnson & Johnson, Hershey, Sara Lee, Welch's,
Electronic Arts, Georgia-Pacific, Expedia and Royal Caribbean Cruises
entrust Tim and his team to deliver talent to guide their organizations.
Prior to founding Barton Executive Search, Tim functioned as a sales
executive with Procter & Gamble. He served as an integral member of a
sales re-engineering test that resulted in the integration of three
newly acquired business units and two pre-existing business units. The
strategic merge created a shared retail sales organization, and also
the early stage development of multi-functional customer teams.
Tim serves on the board of Breakthrough Atlanta, a non-profit
organization with a mission to increase educational opportunity for
high-potential, disadvantaged middle school students and to inspire
outstanding college and high school students to pursue careers in
education. Breakthrough promotes and develops future teachers,
leveraging an innovative Students Teaching-Students model which pairs
middle school students with college and high school student mentors who

Tim received his B.S. in Business Administration from Bryant University.
Dave Pitfield
Partner
Dave Pitfield, Partner, joined Barton Executive Search in 2000.
Prior to joining BES, Dave functioned in executive sales roles for
technology and consumer product driven companies. Dave served as Vice
President, Client Development for dotcom start-up, CareerElite and in a
Regional Vice President role for PurchasePro.com, a provider of B2B
e-commerce solutions.
Dave began his successful sales career with leading consumer products
company, Procter & Gamble. He held numerous sales positions while at
Procter & Gamble including Business Unit Leader.
Dave received his B.S. in Marketing from the Richard T. Farmer School of
Business Administration at Miami University.
Dean Keener
Director
Dean Keener, Director, joined Barton Executive Search in 2008 to function as a leader in driving business development, client management, and recruiting initiatives for top tier consumer facing companies and collegiate athletic departments.
Dean has been a member of the National Association of Basketball Coaches for over 20 years, serving as the Men's Basketball Head Coach for James Madison University from 2004 to 2008, and as the Men's Basketball Assistant Head Coach for Georgia Tech from 2000 - 2004. Dean's leadership and direction played an integral role in Georgia Tech's successful 2004 season as the team reached the NCAA National Championship Game. Prior to joining Georgia Tech, Dean held various Division I level coaching positions at Drake University, Southern Methodist University, Virginia Tech, and the University of Southern California. In each coaching role Dean was responsible for recruiting team members and was involved in numerous aspects of the players' college programs. Dean successfully recruited or coached 11 men's basketball players who became members of various NBA teams.
Dean was a member of the Davidson College Men's Basketball team for four years while earning his B.A. in Economics. While a member of the Davidson team, Dean participated in the 1986 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament and served as the Co-Captain during his senior year.
Barbara Hourihan
Senior Vice President
Barbara Hourihan has been associated with Barton Executive Search since 1994, and currently serves as Senior Vice President. Barbara has successfully driven the organization's internal recruitment process delivering high-caliber management, executive, c-level and board candidates to BES clients. She has played an instrumental role in expanding BES's recruiting efforts beyond traditional consumer products into a broad range of industries including technology, travel and entertainment.
Prior to joining BES, Barbara functioned as a human resource generalist for the world's leading office equipment and service provider, Xerox. While at Xerox, Barbara was responsible for staffing, labor relations and compensation initiatives to support the company's growth objectives and strategies.
Barbara received her B.A. in Business Management from Keuka College.
Tammie Mitchell
Consultant
Tammie Mitchell joined Barton Executive Search in 1999 and serves as a Consultant, with responsibility for developing long-term relationships with executives functioning within sales, marketing, human resources, finance and general management roles.
Prior to joining BES, Tammie held various management positions within the retail and apparel industry for Laura Ashley Holdings plc and The Talbots, Inc, overseeing operations, merchandising, budgetary and human resource initiatives.
Tammie currently serves as the Board Chair for Atlanta based, Neighborhood Charter School.
Angela Gilbert
Consultant
Angela Gilbert joined Barton Executive Search in 2009 as a Consultant with responsibility for establishing trust and goodwill amongst candidates and assessing skill competencies and culture fit for client searches.
Prior to joining BES, Angela functioned as National Advisory Sourcing Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers, leading staffing initiatives both nationally and internationally. During her ten years of experience with PricewaterhouseCoopers, Angela successfully placed over 625 associates across multiple lines of service including tax, assurance, transaction services, IT audit, government contracting, federal practice, advisory, technology, and human resources.
