Tim Barton
Managing Partner

As Founder and Managing Partner of Barton Executive Search, Tim Barton has over 21 years of experience in the executive search industry. He led or oversaw the strategy and execution of over 1,000 successful search assignments with industry leading companies which include Hershey, Waste Management, Welch's, Georgia Pacific, Diamond Foods and Expedia. These clients and many others entrust Tim to deliver strategic guidance on matters such as executive coaching, organization design, and transformation leadership. It is Tim's belief that non-fee based consulting services is an important value-added benefit that supports a long-term search partnership relationship. Recent placements led by Tim include the CEO of Welch's, the President of Horizon Organic Dairy, the Chief Customer Officer of White Wave, the Chief Marketing Officer of Georgia Pacific and the Chief Merchandising Officer of Hess Corporation.

Prior to founding Barton Executive Search in 1989, Tim had a successful career with Procter & Gamble. Under Tim's direction Barton Executive Search, located in Atlanta, Georgia has become a recognized leader in executive search.

Tim currently serves on the Board of Breakthrough Collaborative and the Advisory Board for Breakthrough Atlanta; non-profit organizations with a unique dual mission to increase the academic opportunity for highly motivated, underserved students and put them on the trajectory of a successful college path, and to inspire and develop the next generation of teachers and educational leaders.

Tim holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Bryant University.

Dave Pitfield
Partner

Dave Pitfield, Partner, joined Barton Executive Search in 2000.

Prior to joining BES, Dave functioned in executive sales roles for technology and consumer product driven companies. Dave served as Vice President, Client Development for dotcom start-up, CareerElite and in a Regional Vice President role for PurchasePro.com, a provider of B2B e-commerce solutions.

Dave began his successful sales career with leading consumer products company, Procter & Gamble. He held numerous sales positions while at Procter & Gamble including Business Unit Leader.

Dave received his B.S. in Marketing from the Richard T. Farmer School of Business Administration at Miami University.

Dean Keener
Vice President

Dean Keener joined Barton Executive Search in 2008 and serves as Vice President. He is responsible for client management and recruiting initiatives for top tier consumer facing companies. Dean also oversees Barton Executive Search's internship programs with Morehouse, Georgia Institute of Technology and The Lovett School.

Dean is a key player in further developing BES relationships with clients including Avis Budget Group, Lance, and Lego. Dean's partnership with client companies has resulted in the placement of key Senior Manager and Director sales level roles to enhance the client's talent level.

Prior to joining BES, Dean was member of the National Association of Basketball Coaches for over 20 years, serving as the Men's Basketball Head Coach for James Madison University from 2004 to 2008 and as the Assistant Head Coach for Georgia Tech from 2000 - 2004. Dean's leadership and direction played an integral role in Georgia Tech's successful 2004 season as the team reached the NCAA National Championship Game. Dean has also held various Division I level coaching positions at Drake University, SMU, Virginia Tech, and the University of Southern California.

Dean was a member of the Davidson College Men's Basketball team for four years while earning his B.A. in Economics.

Barbara Hourihan
Senior Vice President

Barbara Hourihan has been associated with Barton Executive Search since 1994, and currently serves as Senior Vice President. Barbara has successfully driven the organization's internal recruitment process delivering high-caliber management, executive, c-level and board candidates to BES clients. She has played an instrumental role in expanding BES's recruiting efforts beyond traditional consumer products into a broad range of industries including technology, travel and entertainment.

Prior to joining BES, Barbara functioned as a human resource generalist for the world's leading office equipment and service provider, Xerox. While at Xerox, Barbara was responsible for staffing, labor relations and compensation initiatives to support the company's growth objectives and strategies.

Barbara received her B.A. in Business Management from Keuka College.

Tammie Mitchell
Consultant

Tammie Mitchell joined Barton Executive Search in 1999 and serves as a Consultant, with responsibility for developing long-term relationships with executives functioning within sales, marketing, human resources, finance and general management roles.

Prior to joining BES, Tammie held various management positions within the retail and apparel industry for Laura Ashley Holdings plc and The Talbots, Inc, overseeing operations, merchandising, budgetary and human resource initiatives.

Tammie currently serves as the Board Chair for Atlanta based, Neighborhood Charter School.

Kelly Baranovic
Consultant & Director of Research

Kelly Baranovic joined Barton Executive Search in 2000 and currently functions as Consultant & Director of Research. Kelly is responsible for establishing long-term relationships with consumer related sales executives. She is also responsible for leading the research department within BES.

Kelly holds a B.B.A. from Oglethorpe University and M.B.A. from Argosy University.

Marvin Booker
Consultant

Marvin Booker joined the BES team in 2010 and serves as a Consultant with responsibility for developing long-term relationships with sales and marketing executives within consumer facing industries.

Prior to joining BES, Marvin functioned as Food & Beverage manager with the Four Seasons, splitting his time with the Four Seasons Dallas at Las Colinas Resort and Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta respectively. Throughout his tenure, he coordinated the food and drink for both TPC Las Colinas & Cottonwood Valley golf courses and the resort pool on a 440-acre property. In that time he also assisted with the HP Byron Nelson Golf Tournament and managed a fine dining restaurant.

Marvin graduated Magna Cum Laude and holds a BS in Restaurant, Hotel, and Institutional Management from Texas Tech University.
